Wiz Khalifa criticises Drake for pursuing legal action in the beef with Kendrick Lamar

Wiz Khalifa shared his perspective on Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group, expressing that he isn’t shocked the 6 God has engaged attorneys.

During a conversation with NFL icon Shannon Sharpe on his podcast Club Shay Shay, Wiz discussed Drake’s conflict with Kendrick Lamar and the resulting legal consequences.

“About time,” remarked the Pittsburgh native regarding the Hip Hop giants’ long-standing feud finally boiling over this year. “I’m exhausted by people pretending to be friendly with one another.” “Simply express what you genuinely think, man.”

Wiz then commented on Drake’s legal documents, which claim that UMG engaged in defamation and utilized streaming bots and payola to promote Kendrick’s diss track “Not Like Us”: “That seems like a classic Drake strategy to me.”

He mentioned: “As a musician and businessman, if he’s not achieving public success in music, he’ll find success in other areas.” I believe it’s an intelligent choice to make. “They’re performing it just as they should.”

When questioned if he believes that the conflict between Drake and Kendrick is simply for show, Wiz answered: “Nah, I don’t think those guys get along at all.” That’s simply the nature of the industry, and all of that is concluding now, with everything being revealed for you to witness.

“However, this resembles wrestling too, meaning the same individuals who debate can become friendly right away.” So basically, don’t focus too much on the hostility aspect — not just them, but generally, people will end up embracing later.

Wiz Khalifa isn’t the sole rapper to have commented on Drake’s lawsuit against his longtime record label.

50 Cent recently shared his perspective on the shift during a conversation with Cam’ron on his Talk With Flee YouTube program.

He conjectured that Drizzy’s true goal is to stop Kendrick Lamar from singing “Not Like Us” at next year’s Super Bowl halftime performance.

“I haven’t encountered that previously.” I have never seen a rap war turn into a legal action. But I thought that was Drake’s crew trying to prevent the Super Bowl from hurting them more,” Fif said.

“If you take legal action against Apple and Universal Music Group while Apple is involved with the Super Bowl music, they are already engaged in lawsuits and facing expenses to defend themselves.”

The G-Unit leader also suggested that Drake’s lawyers may have warned the NFL by saying: “We have a problem regarding this song.” “It’s already an ongoing case; we ask that you don’t let that go public, or you’ll be liable for the damages.”
