The Weeknd finally released “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” the much-anticipated third installment of his “After Hours” trilogy, on Thursday evening. Although the credits were not displayed on streaming platforms at first, a representative for the artist has verified that it includes contributions from Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, Future, Florence + the Machine, Giorgio Moroder, Playboi Carti, Anitta, among others.
In May, a film sharing the same title as the album will be released, featuring the Weeknd alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. The movie was co-created and helmed by Trey Edward Schults for Lionsgate and is set to debut on May 16, 2025, only in theaters.
In the interview, he mentioned that he might retire the name and persona of the Weeknd, a sentiment reflected at the conclusion of “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which transitions smoothly into “High for This,” the opening track from his debut mixtape, “House of Balloons,” completing his catalog’s journey.

“Hurry Up Tomorrow” was initially set to launch last week, but its release was postponed in honor of the devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires. Funds generated from the song “Take Me Back To LA” will be given to the LA Regional Food Bank, which is offering emergency food support to individuals affected by the LA wildfires. In order to honor those affected by the crisis, The Weeknd decided to call off the scheduled album release concert at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl and contributed 1 million dollars to the LAFD Foundation, GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund, and the LA Regional Food Bank.
The Weeknd was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night and showcased his new track “Open Hearts.”
A number of songs from the album were showcased at the Weeknd’s stadium concert held at Estádio Morumbi in São Paulo last October. The show included unexpected guest appearances by Playboi Carti and Anitta.
