Actress Demi Moore and Rob Lowe “briefly had a thing” in the 1980s, when the Brat Pack was at its biggest.
In 1985, the 60-year-old West Wing star costarred with Moore, 61, in the popular coming-of-age film St. Elmo’s Fire.
On the Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, he said to Kelly Ripa: “Demi and I briefly, I’m not telling tales out of school – we briefly had a thing.”

The cast of St. Elmo’s Fire included a number of attractive young stars from the 1980s, such as Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Molly Ringwald.
According to Lowe, there will inevitably be some off-camera romance during filming because several of the stars are members of the Brat Pack, a group named after Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack.
“Look, hookups are unavoidable when young, twentysomething men and women are together. He told the program, “And I don’t think that has changed.”

According to Lowe, the development of a St. Elmo’s Fire sequel is “moving along,” albeit “slowly.”
“All of the actors are on board,” he added, adding that he is in communication with Moore regarding the movie. Everyone is thrilled.

Some of the cast appeared in a documentary on the Brat Pack earlier this year, which was directed by former Brat-Packer Andrew McCarthy.
At the time of the original film’s production, Moore had already finalized her divorce from singer Freddy Moore. She then dated Estevez, a fellow cast member, with whom she had a brief engagement.
Moore wed action star Bruce Willis in 1987, and the two of them had three daughters.
Prior to their 2011 breakup, Moore married actor Ashton Kutcher five years after she and Willis parted ways in 2000.
Moore has been promoting her most recent film, The Substance, a body horror film about a waning Hollywood star who tries to hold on to her youth.
