Post Malone mainly produces pop and country music now, yet he still carries the accusations of being a “culture vulture” from his time in the hip-hop scene.
During a summer interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Posty revealed the pain caused by the label early in his career and how it steered him towards a self-destructive journey.
“It was terrible.” “I was just a child,” he stated. “I managed it by consuming a lot of alcohol.” I truly [made it personal]. “It’s difficult to avoid doing so.”
“However,” he finished, “[you don’t create music] for those who dislike you. “It’s intended for those who care about you, as well as for your own well-being.”
In 2023, Post needed to address and deny allegations of drug use amid worries about his recent weight loss.
Following his performance in Antwerp, Belgium last April, the “White Iverson” artist went on Instagram to address worries about his physique and on-stage demeanor.
“4/28/2023, Antwerp Belgium! Hi everyone, I hope you’re enjoying your evening,” he started. “I want to clarify that I’m not on drugs; many have inquired about my weight loss and, I guess, my stage performance.”
“I’m really enjoying performing and have never felt better. I suppose becoming a dad motivated me to give up soda and improve my diet so I can be here for a long time for this little angel.”
Besides stopping soda and adopting a healthier diet, Post Malone intends to give up beer and cigarettes as well at a later time.
