Mr. Beast finds his bride! He reveals Christmas Day engagement

MrBeast has found his soulmate.

The well-known YouTuber disclosed to People in a Wednesday interview that he proposed to his girlfriend and author Thea Booysen on Christmas Day.

“We were unwrapping gifts, and then for the final gift he told me to shut my eyes since it was a surprise,” Booysen shared with the outlet. Both of their parents attended to celebrate the holiday and looked on as she “of course accepted.”

“I was considering the ideal method to surprise her,” MrBeast informed People. “Thea has a close link with her family, therefore I tried to ensure they were part of this major event.”

Booysen started a relationship with MrBeast, whose actual name is Jimmy Donaldson, in 2022 after they connected via a mutual friend during a trip the YouTuber made to her native country of South Africa. Following a playful exchange during dinner, she returned home to discover a DM on X from MrBeast requesting to read her soon-to-be-released book “The Marked Children,” Booysen informed People.

“I used to believe YouTubers were merely a character, but upon meeting him, I was really taken aback to find that he’s genuinely a nice person.” “He didn’t have an ego while sitting there,” she stated.

A year into their relationship, MrBeast was eager to propose, but Booysen advised him to hold off until she completed her master’s program (she pursued human cognitive neuropsychology at the University of Edinburgh).

Now, armed with a master’s degree, Booysen is prepared to say “I do.”

“In my thoughts, we are already married,” she expressed to the outlet. “We discuss kids, how we’ll coexist when we reach 70… this was simply another phase in the journey.”

MrBeast, regarded as one of the most renowned and top-earning content creators in the industry, is famous for executing massive stunts on his channel. However, he preferred the proposal (and the wedding) to be more understated.

“My friends believed I would prefer to propose in a highly public manner, perhaps as a grand event at the Super Bowl or another major venue,” he shared with People, “however, I was clear that I wanted it to be completely intimate and private.”

Regarding the ceremony, a location on a remote island seems attractive to the couple.

Mr. Beast said, “This will certainly involve more family and friends — certainly more personal.”

“Booysen mentioned that we’re considering holding it on an island where we’re distant from nearly everyone.” “We’re not going to attempt to have an elaborate, lavish wedding.” It will be pleasant, but it is definitely going to be personal (with) dear family and friends.”
