Lil Durk was arrested and charged with murder for hire shortly after he allegedly booked three different overseas flights and was about to board one of them.

As part of the federal criminal complaint against the Chicago rapper, who is presently incarcerated at FDC Miami, FBI Special Agent Sarah Corcoran signed out an affidavit.

In the affidavit, Corcoran recalled that federal investigators “executed multiple search warrants in the Chicago area” and that five individuals she said were connected to Durk’s OTF crew were taken into custody early on Thursday, October 24.

“The FBI received notifications from U.S. Customs and Border Protection shortly after making these arrests and carrying out the search warrants that [Durk] had been booked as a passenger on two international flights: (i) a one-way flight from Miami to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, connecting through Doha, Qatar, scheduled to depart the evening of October 24; and (ii) a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale to Switzerland, connecting via New Jersey, also scheduled to depart the evening of October 24,” she added.

It was implied that Durk was trying to escape his imminent arrest when she added, “I believe that the UAE does not have a bilateral extradition treaty with the United States.”

Agent Corcoran disclosed that Durk did not board either of those two planes. But “the FBI received another CBP notification at about 6:40 p.m. ET that [Durk] had been booked as a passenger on a private plane departing Miami and destined for Italy, scheduled to depart at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET.”

According to the agent, Durk was taken into custody “in the vicinity of the departing airport” an hour prior to that flight.

As previously stated, the OTF rapper was detained on suspicion of murder for hire due to his suspected involvement in a scheme to kill Quando Rondo in order to exact revenge for King Von’s passing.

In connection with the 2022 murder of Quando’s cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, the five additional individuals Corcoan mentioned—who were allegedly part of Durk’s OTF (Only the Family) collective—were taken into custody on suspicion of murder for hire and murder for hire conspiracy.

The five men—Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston—are accused of Robinson’s murder in a recently unsealed indictment filed in the U.S. Central District Court of California.

They are charged with trying to kill Quando Rondo in August 2022 in Los Angeles, but instead killing the rapper’s companion, his cousin.

Prosecutors claim that the organization used OTF’s resources and carried out orders, using a credit card linked to the label to pay for flights and rental cars.

The agent asserted that “the hitmen used [Durk] and OTF-related finances to carry out the murder.” Durk is suspected of ordering the murder of Quando, a rapper who is known in Corcoran’s statement as “T.B.,” the initials of his true name, Tyquian Bowman.
