As she reminisced about a recent evening they spent together discussing their future, she stated, “A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together.” She kept the note, which he had told her not to read, close to her heart. The note read, “Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever.”
Cassidy stated her belief that they would stay together forever, just not in the way they had imagined as she posted a number of photos, one of which was a handwritten note from Payne.
She shared, “You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel.” She pledged, “I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn.”
Cassidy had been in a relationship with Payne since 2022 and had traveled with him to South America in the days before his death, but she had already departed Argentina when Payne fell from the balcony on October 16.
