Concerning information regarding Liam Payne’s relationship with his former fiancée Maya Henry has surfaced four months following his passing.
A source told Rolling Stone in a shocking cover story released Tuesday that the ex-One Direction member sexted other men while having an on-and-off relationship with the writer from 2018 to 2022.
Several insiders told the magazine that Payne, who passed away at 31 in October 2024, secretly “fought with his sexuality.”
Henry, 25, reportedly discovered that the singer had been sending unsuitable messages to others when he “inadvertently aired … them on their television.”
The source also asserted that Payne compelled Henry to terminate her pregnancy in 2020 by presenting her with an ultimatum.
“Liam sent Maya a lengthy text stating that she must either have an abortion and remain with him or raise the child on her own, and he will not recognize either of them,” they claimed to Rolling Stone. “This shocked Maya, as Liam desired to start a family, and they were making efforts to have a child.”
The “X Factor” alum became a father in March 2017 when he and former partner Cheryl Cole had their son Bear, who is now 7.
Henry, who allegedly “consented to end the pregnancy,” first alluded to the abortion in her May 2024 book, “Looking Forward,” which she described as “motivated” by her relationship with Payne.
“What I experienced in reality closely resembles what Mallory experienced in the book,” she shared with People back then, alluding to her character. “I certainly experienced some issues [after my abortion], and I had to attend the hospital by myself.”
The model did not reveal additional information regarding when the procedure occurred.
Tuesday’s report also claimed that Payne shoved Henry down a set of stairs and pursued her with an ax during their tumultuous relationship.
In an extensive statement to the publication, she expressed that she “cared for [Payne] deeply,” and remarked, “Those who have been with an addict know how challenging that can be.” Although I had deep feelings for him, he engaged in actions that caused me pain in ways I may never fully comprehend, and he kept hurting me long after our breakup.
“I placed myself in dangerous and damaging situations, overlooking every warning sign,” Henry went on, stating that she does not “blame him for his difficulties.”

Two years after Henry and Payne finally parted ways, she gained attention by sending him a cease-and-desist letter.
She asserted that her ex had “consistently sent unwanted and troubling images and videos” to her and her family members.
At this point, Payne had progressed and was in a romantic relationship with Kate Cassidy, spending time with her in Argentina just days before his death.

Following the influencer’s solo return from Buenos Aires at 25, Payne kept celebrating in his hotel room, where he plunged to his death from the third-floor balcony.
According to court documents received by Page Six in December 2024, five people have been charged regarding the incident.
