In the ALLBLK series “Wild Rose,” Omarion will play a charismatic hitman.

Omarion will executive produce and appear in the upcoming original drama series Wild Rose. Variety reports that the former B2K lead singer and solo artist would play Roosevelt, also known as “Rose,” in the ALLBLK series, which centers on the contract killer whose family also owns a nonprofit.

According to a summary of the show written by Deji LaJay (Escaping Paradise), “an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets lies behind the nonprofit facade.” Rose searches for his wife and daughter when they unexpectedly leave and vanish, only to find a “web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.”

“I’m thrilled to be back on your television in a new way,” the singer, who is best known for his Grammy-nominated 2005 debut solo album O and his 2005 No. 4 Billboard Hot 100 collaboration on Bow Wow’s “Let Me Hold You,” said in a statement. Seeing a different side of myself is something I am eager for the Allblk followers and others to experience. This is unlike any character I’ve ever played. To put it simply, I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone. Every new project gives me the chance to develop, learn, and broaden my acting repertoire. Rose is not your typical killer.

Omarion has made a few solo albums, three albums with B2K in the early 2000s, and appeared in the movies You Got Served, Fat Albert, and Somebody Help Me. In 2021, she also sang in a Yeti costume during season five of The Masked Singer.

The full cast and premiere date for Wild Rose, which will air on AMC’s Black TV/film service ALLBLK, have not yet been revealed. Production is expected to start in Los Angeles in November.
