Drake first stated in August that he will release a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR “when it gets a little chilly,” but details regarding the project have been elusive until now.
PARTYNEXTDOOR revealed some details about the eagerly awaited project on Monday, November 4.
During an Instagram Live session, he stated, “Guys, I have one more show on this tour.” “The album is then being completed.”
On Wednesday, November 6, the singer’s Sorry I’m Outside Tour will come to an end in London.
Drake initially made the concept public during PND’s August 2 performance of PARTYNEXTDOOR & Friends at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.
He remarked, “I know all you girls are outside and Drake’s album and PARTYNEXTDOOR will be right there for you when it gets a little chilly.”
According to reports, Drizzy performed a brief set of songs that included his remix of “Hey There Delilah,” “Finesse,” “Redemption,” “Come and See Me,” “Sweeterman,” and “Drama.”
A few days later, PND disclosed the number of new songs under development in a quick interview with celebrity Awaiz Punjani.
“The one we doing right now – all 15 we doing right now,” he responded when asked what his favorite song he’s recorded with the OVO boss is, indicating the number of tracks the two are working on for the upcoming LP.
In other Drake news, DeMar DeRozan recently responded to the superstar after teasing the NBA player during a Toronto Raptors vs. Sacramento Kings game.
DeRozan, who presently plays for the Kings and played for many years in Toronto, made his first appearance in Canada this past weekend after taking the stage at the Compton rapper’s Pop Out event and making a cameo in the music video for Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
Drake made several disparaging remarks about the 6-foot-6 basketball player, who is from Compton, while he was watching the game from his courtside seat.
In an interview with Canadian sports network TSN, he declared, “I’ll go up there and pull it down myself if you ever put up a DeRozan banner.”
“Unfortunately, it is what it is, but we are playing this goof tonight,” he continued.
Drake was caught mouthing, “Fuck outta here, pussy,” as he celebrated the Raptors winning 131–128 after DeRozan missed a game-tying three-pointer.
When asked about the 6 Gods’ promise to destroy his fictitious banner following the game, DeRozan responded, “I’ll tell you that he’s going to have a long way to climb.”
He then shared a funny clip of Chris Tucker’s character from the film on his Instagram Stories on Friday, stating that he only becomes tough when Deebo, the local danger, is behind him.
