Drake’s Affiliate Top5 Detained By Toronto Authorities Over Firearm Allegations

Drake’s associate Top5 has been detained by the Toronto police and faced multiple charges concerning firearms.

As per a statement issued by the Toronto Police Service, the rapper from T-dot, whose real name is Hassan Ali, was taken into custody on Friday (January 24).

He is confronted with six distinct weapons-related charges: Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device; Possession of a Weapon; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; Knowing Possession of a Firearm Without Authorization; and Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.

His first court appearance was set for 10 A.M. on Saturday (January 25). No details regarding the proceedings were available right away.

Earlier this month, Drake overlooked Wack 100’s clear caution to avoid Top5, as the two were spotted at a Toronto Raptors game together.

Top5, who recently won a murder case with Drizzy’s support, shared a video on Instagram of him and the OVO Sound icon as they walked to their seats during the Raptors’ 104-101 victory against the Golden State Warriors on January 13.

The 25-year-old rapper wrote in the caption: “Me & my twin @champagnepapi.”

This follows closely after Wack 100 suggested that he had compromising evidence against Top5 and warned Drake to “stay away” from him.

In a conversation with No Jumper, the experienced music manager stated: “Drake should distance himself from Top5.” “He’s trouble.”

Wack then raised a USB drive in front of the camera and stated: “This is the level of respect I hold for you, Drake.” No joke, on Piru, you really have to distance yourself from that guy. This has been around for roughly 90 days, and I have ensured it hasn’t [gone] anywhere, myself. I believe you understand what I’m referring to.

“That guy, with his words and what he expresses, isn’t beneficial for your career.” As a brother, I’m advising you … stay away from Top5, man. Keep in mind, I’m cautioning Drake; he’s going to get you trapped, entangled, and restrained.

He remarked: “That guy is careless with his words, he binds you to issues and he’s an idiot.”

Top5 was freed from prison last September after being acquitted of a first-degree murder charge connected to the shooting death of a 20-year-old college student four years prior.

Authorities suspect that the victim, Hashim Omar Hashi, could have been mistakenly aimed at in a gang-related shooting.

Following the dismissal of the case because multiple pieces of evidence were deemed inadmissible, it emerged that Drake had assisted in funding the drill rapper’s legal representation.

“Big shoutout to my bro @champagnepapi for covering the Lawyer Fees & Gary Grill for being Toronto’s top lawyer #ALLAHUAKBAR,” Top5 posted on Instagram, later updating his caption to eliminate any reference to the 6 God.

Since his release from prison, Top5 has been reciprocating Drake’s loyalty and has stood firmly by his side in the conflict against Kendrick Lamar, even making threats to shoot the Compton artist.
