Conor McGregor’s fiancée, Dee Devlin, openly backed him after he lost a civil lawsuit in which a lady accused him of sexual assault. Devlin stated five days following the verdict that their family, which consists of their four children, is still strong and cohesive in spite of the court decision.
On November 26, Devlin said on Instagram, “I love him, I trust him, and I BELIEVE HIM!” to show her unwavering support for McGregor. She emphasized their close-knit family life, pointing to the contentment of their children as proof of McGregor’s moral character and their bond.
“We trust and love each other, so nobody has the right to criticize our relationship,” Devlin added. Nothing, she said, could alter their love and regard for one another, not even the court battle.
A lady accused McGregor of raping and assaulting her in 2018 during an encounter at a hotel in Dublin, according to the civil case in question. On November 22, a Dublin High Court jury decided in the woman’s favor.
McGregor insisted that their interaction was voluntary and refuted the accusations throughout the trial. He insisted that he had never coerced the woman into doing anything against her will and that a local police investigation had previously been done against him. However, because there was insufficient evidence, the Director of Public Prosecutions chose not to file criminal charges.
Following the verdict, McGregor was ordered to pay the woman almost $250,000. Noting that the judge’s orders limited the amount of damages that might be given for an assault accusation, excluding exemplary or aggravated damages, he expressed his displeasure with the jury’s decision.
McGregor expressed his disappointment with the verdict to TMZ, saying he believed the jury was not presented with all of the information that the DPP had examined. He reaffirmed that his family and his future were his top priority at the moment, regardless of the setback.
Their family’s resilience in the face of hardship was emphasized in Devlin’s social media post. She made it apparent that, in spite of the media coverage that followed the court case, their relationship and mutual trust remained strong.
