Cardi B, 32-year-old, Grammy-winning rapper, is currently taking a break from performing after being admitted to the hospital for medical problem which is yet to be revealed. Cardi revealed that she will not be able to attend the One Music Fest on social media on Wednesday. She expressed her disappointment at not being able to make it to the show, which is taking place in Atlanta on Saturday.
“I’ve been in the hospital healing from a medical emergency for the last couple of days, and I am not going to able to make an appearance at ONE Music Fest,” Cardi explained in her statement. “It breaks my heart not to be able to see my fans,” she stated while expressing her disappointment. “Bardi Gang, appreciate you for your understanding. I’ll be back healthier and stronger soon,” Cardi reassured her fans. “Do not be worried. I love you all.”
Cardi was spotted on October 15 at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Brooklyn, New York, shortly before being admitted to the hospital. Her health issues follow a distressing occurrence in which an unidentified caller purportedly called Child Protective Services (CPS) about her children.
Cardi asserted during an Instagram Live session that the fake call revealed her kids were being physically assaulted. the rapper and her ex-husband, Offset, are parents to three children: a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture, a 3-year-old son named Wave, and a newborn girl born in September. According to reports, she began her medical stay at the same time as she recorded the live session from her hospital bed.
“I promise that I’ll get to the bottom of it,” Cardi said, expressing her resolve to look into the situation. She talked about the upsetting moment when her kids were asleep and CPS and police officers showed up at her house because of the anonymous call. Considering the nature of the accusations, she said the prank calls went too far.
Reiterating that her family is one of the few families of color in their community, Cardi further reprimanded the caller for being insensitive. So as to protect her family, she affirmed that she would enforce her right to sue CPS and the caller.
“Don’t you ever in your… life mess with my motherhood or my ex-husband’s fatherhood,” Cardi fiercely said as she ended her Instagram Live. She strongly defended her parenting style, stating that she takes excellent care of her kids and that they have never been mistreated.
