British supermodel Georgina Cooper passed away at the age of 46 after unexpectedly becoming ill while on vacation in Greece.

After unexpectedly becoming unwell while on vacation in Greece, British supermodel Georgina Cooper passed away at the age of 46.

According to several reports and her friends, British supermodel Georgina Cooper, who was famous for her gapped-tooth Cool Britannia style, has away suddenly at the age of 46.

While on vacation with her husband of several months, Nigel, on the Greek island of Kos, Cooper became ill and was admitted to the hospital, according to the Daily Mail.

On October 21, she apparently fell ill while they were lodging at the Marianna Hotel and was transported to a hospital.

The hospital reportedly had her flown to a better-equipped site on the island of Crete after assessing her health. Before she passed away, she apparently received treatment for five days.

Cooper’s cause of death is unknown, although according to WWD, she had a brain hemorrhage as a result of prolonged COVID.

She “had been unwell during Covid and had developed some health problems and had been in and out of hospital,” according to her former agent Dean Goodman, who spoke to the Mail.

He attested that she “was looking forward to her life” with her new husband and “had plans for the future.”

WWD stated that she spent her last days on Kos, unlike what the Mail reported.

Cooper has been going there for vacations for over 20 years, according to an island source who spoke to the Mail. She went there for her honeymoon in July and again in October.

“This was all very sudden and it is a shock for all of us,” they continued.

She wanted to locate a place to live and possibly launch a business, so she was discussing returning in May. It’s really depressing.

Cooper’s close friend and fellow model Jade Parfitt, 46, gushed about their friendship and told Page Six that she “will be so missed by so many.”

“Georgina was unlike so many of the other models in that she wasn’t shy and quiet, quite the opposite!” she gushed. “George was an absolute riot, in all the best ways.”

“A proper South London girl, she was so funny, bright, and charming. I often found myself gravitating towards her whenever we were in a room together.”

She added that Cooper’s success “never changed her” and that she was “always 100% authentically herself, and true to her roots.”

“At that time in the ’90’s and 2000’s there was a a fantastic group of British models, we all grew up and travelled the world working together, it felt like a real sisterhood and George was a big part of that,” Parfitt further recalled.

Cooper began modeling at 13 after she was discovered at the Elite Look of The Year contest in 1992, according to her 2018 interview with the Cultural Omnivore.

According to Cooper’s 2018 interview with the Cultural Omnivore, she was discovered at the 1992 Elite Look of the Year competition and started modeling at the age of 13.

Premier Model Management, which was co-founded by former model Carole White, reportedly signed her after that. At the time, White allegedly worked as Naomi Campbell’s agent.

According to the Mail, the late model made a big splash at the age of 15 when she was cast in a Jon Bon Jovi music video and started a successful collaboration with Corinne Day, one of the most well-known fashion photographers.

Cooper told the Cultural Omnivore, “Corinne really liked my look — she especially loved the gap in my teeth — and she liked my personality too.”

We conducted our first photo session for Ray Gun magazine the following week. We all had a great time, and Corrine was a pleasure to work with.

She added, “I was so young at the time I didn’t really understand how influential the work we were doing was until I got older and people would compliment me on the work we did together.”
