Ariana Grande hasn’t put her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, to rest just yet. While the pop artist and Wicked star has been concentrating on her acting career lately, she verified that there is unreleased music from the LP that remains forthcoming.
Last night at the Golden Globes, Access Hollywood inquired of Grande whether she was considering creating any new music right now.
“I’m not thinking about that right now,” she said. “I did create something last year, though, and it will be released eventually.” It has to do with Eternal Sunshine. Yes, it is true, and it will be made available later. “However, I’m currently not in the studio.”
The exact meaning of “an attachment” from Grande is uncertain, but it seems to refer to either another deluxe edition or several unreleased songs. It might also be a brand new release that thematically ties to Eternal Sunshine, which was released last March. When Ariana Grande released a Slightly Deluxe edition, she added four more tracks to the album: “Yes, And?” with Mariah Carey; “True Story” a cappella; “Imperfect for You” acoustically; and “Supernatural” featuring Troye Sivan.

In October, Grande unveiled multiple orchestral live performance videos of the album’s tracks featuring the artist with a 10-member band. These were featured on her follow-up deluxe release, Eternal Sunshine (Slightly Deluxe and Also Live), which showcased fresh versions of “Don’t Wanna Break Up Again,” “Eternal Sunshine,” “Yes, And?,” “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” and “Imperfect for You.”
Grande playfully hinted at a longer release timeframe for Eternal Sunshine, posting on Instagram: “I am excited for all that is still to arrive in this eternal sunshine cycle (which has only just started & may it last forever).”
For her performance as Glinda in Wicked, the vocalist was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture at the Golden Globes, but Zoe Saldaña won the award instead. Her four Grammy nominations are Best Dance Pop Recording, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
