Adrien Brody’s partner, Georgina Chapman, apparently didn’t have a problem with Halle Berry kissing the actor on the 2025 Oscars red carpet.
On Sunday, Brody was giving an interview to the media at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles when the “Catwoman” actress surprised him from behind.
“I apologize, Georgina, but I must do it,” she cautioned Chapman before embracing him and giving him a passionate kiss on the lips.
As the two shared kisses and laughed off the moment, the fashion designer was spotted applauding and cheering from the sidelines in her custom strapless Marchesa gown.
Berry, in a relationship with Van Hunt since 2020, then informed Chapman that she needed to “repay him.”
“I needed to do that; I had to repay him,” she told the “Project Runway All Stars” alum, according to “Access Hollywood.”
She further explained that Chapman, who started dating Brody in 2020 as well, had allowed her to kiss the actor.
“Just because Georgina mentioned I was allowed to,” she remarked.

The innocent-looking kiss was a recreation of Brody and Berry’s iconic Oscars kiss from 2003.
At that moment, the “Monster’s Ball” actress was awarding Brody, 51, the best actor honor for his portrayal of Wladyslaw Szpilman in “The Pianist” when he drew her in for a kiss.
Although the audience believed the incident was scripted, Berry explained that it was not.
“No, that was unintentional.” “I had no knowledge of it,” she stated during a 2017 episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”

Brody won his second Oscar for his performance in “The Brutalist” on Sunday.
Even though he expressed gratitude to Chapman in his speech, fans observed that he had actually ejected his gum and threw it to the fashion designer prior to stepping on stage.
